April 14- Advanced Royal Icing Sugar Cookies

This will be a hands on class where you will learn advanced decorating techniques like those demonstrated in the picture. You must be comfortable with using a frosting bag and different tips. It will move quickly over the basics but focus on the advanced methods.

MARCH 2O – PAINTING ON CAKES
This demo class will teach how to paint on cakes using different mediums, such as Sweetsticks Edible Paints, Americolor gels, blossom dust, and luster dust. You will learn the benefits to each medium and how to best apply them. Will include basic color theory.
APRIL 7 – BUTTERCREAM BASICS
– Emerlie Grandy
You will learn the difference benefits of Swiss buttercream and american frosting. How to torte, fill, and stack cake layers while achieving sharp corners. Then how to do basic buttercream techniques. Great intro class before taking Buttercream Drip Cakes or Fondant for Beginners!
APRIL 21- BUTTERCREAM DRIP CAKES
Hands on learning will start with buttercream basics on how to properly stack a two tier Swiss buttercream cake with sharp edges. Then we will explore popular trends in the cake industry. This will include watercolor buttercream effect, caramel drips, ganache drips, chocolate snails, gold foil application, and buttercream piping. Beginners skill strongly recommended, as this will be a fast-paced class.
APRIL 30 – MARBLED GEODE CAKE
Geode cakes are a fun new trend in the industry! This demo class will show the process of how to decorate a two-tier geode cake from start to finish, including how to marble your fondant, achieve sharp corners, structure multi-tiered cakes, carve into a cake, paint with Sweetsticks Edible Paints, and apply edible gold foil.

MAY 19 – FONDANT FOR BEGINNERS
This beginners course will show how to successfully cover a cake and achieve sharp corners in fondant using professional techniques. Includes basic fondant decorations such as bows, polka dots, borders, stripes, ribbon, roses, and texture mats.
MAY 19 – ADVANCED FONDANT
A continuation of Fondant for Beginners, this demo only class will show how to properly stack a multi-tiered fondant cake. Then explore advanced fondant techniques and Haute Corture, such as bow ruffles, circle ruffles, square ruffles, toothpick ruffles, chopstick ruffles, pleating, tufts, swags, herringbone, pinstripes,grommets, crimping, molds, and bas relief. JUNE 9 – AIRBRUSHING ON CAKES
Learn different airbrushing techniques, and how to apply it on fondant. Class will include how to create and use stencils. Each person will be able to practice different techniques and create a galaxy cake.

JUNE 13 – SOCIAL MEDIA FOR BEGINNERS
An exploration of different social media platforms and apps, and how they can benefit your cake business. Learn how to streamline your social media accounts to save valuable time, convert to business accounts, study of analytics, ect. Includes how to take product photos, edit photos, and record video from your phone. Students are welcome to bring their own laptop to follow along and ask questions.
